چکیده
In two experiments on a farm practicing conservation agriculture, the grain yield of range wheat cultivars was significantly (p < 0.001) negatively related to post-harvest population densities Pratylenchus thornei in soil profile 45 cm depth. third and fourth experiment with different rotations, methyl bromide fumigation 0.05) decreased (a) low initial density P. 90 depth (b) high depth, medium level crown rot fungus, Fusarium pseudograminearum, at 0–15 level. For durum cultivars, response were highly tolerance index experiment, both resistance experiment. latter, positively biomass anthesis percentage whiteheads fill growth stage. One barley cultivar more tolerant diseases than cultivars. Crop rotation, utilizing crop resistant F. is key success for farming this region.

Identification and characterization of a novel Iraqi isolate of Fusarium pseudograminearum causing crown rot in wheat.
Crown rot is one of the main important fungal diseases affecting wheat in many areas of the world, including Australia, USA, and Iran. Until now, there had been no report of this pathogen in Iraq. Plants displaying crown rot symptoms were observed in Shaat Alarab (Basra, Iraq); we investigated the causal agent of the disease. Samples were surface-sterilized in bleach (1% available chlorine...
متن کاملGenetic Characterization of Resistance in Wheat to the Root-Lesion Nematode Pratylenchus Thornei
The root-lesion nematodes Pratylenchus neglectus and P. thornei are economically damaging pathogens of wheat in the Pacific Northwest (PNW). Growing resistant and tolerant varieties is the best approach to minimize yield loss. All PNW wheat varieties were found to be susceptible. Crosses were made between the PNW-adapted varieties (Alpowa Louise, Otis) and the Australian wheat GS50a with resist...
